3) What makes you unique as a performer?

Well, we'd have to start with the rather unique Wild West art form trick roping. A "dying" art form (my students beg to differ on that) that you just don't see much anymore. That in itself is unique, but tricks don't make an act, characters make acts. And I've been on stage long enough that I've apparently become quite a "character" in my own right. A rope trick's a rope trick but to be entertaining the audience has got to care about the roper.

2) What inspires you?

The quest for excellence in performance. Any kind of performance. When I see excellence in a beautiful or inspiring or funny performance that takes an audience away from their everyday worries and cares I am often moved to tears. Which is why I always carry a handkerchief to Wasabassco shows.
